You see, more than a decade ago I found myself in the same position as you are in now. I was desperate for a solution. After years of medication to manage type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure, I gained weight. I was depressed because was taking higher doses of medicine, I followed my physician’s and dietitian’s treatment plans but I was not thriving.

Plant Power Heals

There is a direct correlation between what we eat, how we manage stress, the energy we allow in our cipher, and how intentional we are about changing our lives, I was introduced to a whole-foods, plant-based diet, eating without dairy or meat 14 years ago. As I began to eat more plants my health began to improve. I also learned about factory farming, steroids, antibiotics, and their negative effect on my body. Thanks to this lifestyle I lost weight without dieting or doing a lot of exercise. Most importantly, I feel so much better mentally, physically & spiritually. This lifestyle has taught me to have a healthier relationship with the food I eat and respect where my food comes from.

The influence of my Grandma’s kitchen, my experience with diabetes, and the healing power of eating plant-based encouraged me to create 100% plant-based eateries to provide delicious alternatives that help others embrace the benefits of a plant-based way of life.

14 years ago, I began my journey with type 2 diabetes.  My experiences with increasing dosages of medication, a decrease in my quality of life and the lack of choices for healthy food in my community urged me to find a better way to live.  I discovered the healing benefits of a plant-based way of eating and it saved my life. As a result, I have lived a medicine-free life for more than a decade.  NaturallySweet Desserts (vegan bakery) Night Owl Vegan (weekly vegan meal plan delivery service) and Plant Powered Shift (group and individual wellness coaching) were created to provide those seeking a better way to live with healthy, healing, and delicious vegan cuisine, confidence to prepare plant-based meals and partnership to achieve their wellness goals.


Shift Your Power – 6 Weeks to Eating Well is a 6-week group coaching program that prepares you for a plant-based approach to eating and better health. You are going to gain the confidence to nourish your body, set your intention, and improve your physical and mental health.

When it comes to changing our habits and improving our health, it’s not just about the food you eat or how much exercise you do. While these two things are important, if your mindset isn’t in the right place and your intention is not clear and compelling, the results will be difficult to maintain or won’t be realized.

I know for sure mindset is the foundation of success, not just with improving our health but with anything in life.  My mindset was key in changing my life.  If I was not intentional 14 years ago, my life would be very different now.

In this phase, we will work on clearing any subconscious blocks that are preventing you from achieving your goals by creating awareness around your relationship with food and exercise. What is the story you tell yourself about the food you eat, and the choices that you make? What is the story you tell yourself about your ability to thrive and live a healthier life?

Becoming self-aware of your own self-limiting thoughts and beliefs is an important first step in clearing subconscious blocks. Through mindset exercises we will work on shifting those negative thoughts to embrace the powerful and valuable person you are.

Your approach to life and how you are influenced by the shows we watch, the music we listen to, even the conversations we engage in have a vibration – either positive or negative.  What vibrations are you sending out?  They could be shaping your ability to manifest the results you want.  Alignment with your goals is key to resisting resistance to what you want. 

By working on your mindset, you develop the self-love and confidence within yourself to achieve the results you desire! 


In this phase of the program, you will learn:

  • Why a plant-based diet is best for health and weight loss.
  • What foods are optimal for their healing properties, health, and performance?
  • How to prepare your kitchen for cooking plant-based
  • Improve your plant-powered culinary skills

The key thing in this phase is overcoming any fears around certain foods and learning to enjoy an abundance of plant-based whole foods.

There are so many misconceptions about eating plant-based, lack of protein and not being satisfied. If you are constantly hungry the change you are making will not be sustainable in the long term. As a result of completing this course, you will create delicious and satisfying meals that will improve your confidence while nourishing your body.

Class starts on Sunday, March 5th with our 1st Sunday Supper Community Cooking Class.  It is virtual so anyone anywhere can join.

In order to give every client my 100% in this program I can only take on a limited amount of people at any one time, so please be aware that spaces are limited.

You will also be invited to join the program’s Facebook group, where you can introduce yourself to other participants of the program. Shift Your Power 6 Weeks to Eating Well is designed to help you create the foundation you need to achieve optimal health and clarify your intentions.

The process I show you is easy to understand and execute. guiding you every step of the way to learn to shift your mindset, cook plant-based, and improve your overall health and well-being.

My main focus is to help you achieve your health goals, but I can’t promise that will happen. The reason? The process only works if the individual following the process puts in the work.

What you put into this program is what you get out of it. I will give you 100% of me as a coach throughout these 6 weeks, but I’m not responsible for what you get out of this program, that is up to you.

I will be teaching from practical experience as a diabetic who struggled with managing a chronic illness.  I am like you if you didn’t know when or what to eat because your insulin levels were high.  I am like you if the dosages of medications increased as my health declined.  I am like you if the decision to change my life was because if I didn’t my children would probably be orphans right now.  For me, this disease meant the death of loved ones and a life that was full of pain and frustration.

When I teach, I teach practical ways to make improvements in your life, not theory.  This gives my students the confidence that they can use what they have learned, it speaks to their struggles and frustrations and they know that I am just like them, on a continual journey toward better health and a life where they can thrive.

Each week you will participate in a 60-minute group coaching call. In addition, there will be assignments each week to deepen the learning shared in each lesson. During these calls, you will receive advice on what changes to make to your lifestyle – including diet, exercise, sleep, mindset, etc. It is then your job to implement these changes into your daily routine.
